Cindy Ashdown passed away under the care of Hospice Maui in Wailuku. She was born to Ellen and Henry Franco on September 24, 1961 at the Maui Memorial Hospital, Wailuku, Maui. Cindy grew up in Makawao, Maui, where she attended St. Joseph School. She went on to graduate from St. Anthony School in Wailuku and Maui Community College in Kahului.

Her work career included the Toda Pukalani Drugs which is where she met her husband to be, Angus Palani Ashdown. She went on to work for the billing department of the Maui Memorial Hospital under the State. She ended her career there as a supervisor in the billing department under Kaiser Maui Memorial Medical Center.

She is predeceased by her parents Ellen and Henry Franco and her sister Heidi J.Franco. She is survived by her sister Melinda Burns Ishii (Richard), nephew, Danny S. Ishii, husband, Angus Palani Ashdown and son, Alexander Palani Ashdown. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Joseph Church, Makawao from 9:30 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
