Makawao, Hawaii - Coreen G. Felicilda Nater of Maui passed away surrounded by the love of her family on January 24, 2026. She was a devoted partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Coreen shared her life with her loving life partner, Bill Pires , with whom she built a life rooted in family, care, and connection.
She was born to Hymie Felicilda and Juanita Sibonga Felicilda , who preceded her in death. Coreen was one of many siblings and cherished her close family ties. She is survived by her siblings: Hymie (Shelly) Felicilda Jr., Michael (Darlene) Felicilda, Gordon (Laurie) Felicilda, and Valerie (Harry) Matsuura .
Coreen was a proud and loving mother to Ron "Bully" Nater (Cindy Naito), Kristy Nater (Troy Ritte), Sherry (Ken) Sasaoka, Renee M. DeLima (late husband Arthur DeLima), and Billy (Kaimi) Pires . Her greatest joy was her family, especially her 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren , whom she loved deeply and unconditionally.
Family and friends will remember Coreen for her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. She had a special way of bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome and cared for.
Funeral services for Coreen G. Felicilda Nater will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 , at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului, Maui, Hawaiʻi.
