Dallas, Texas - In Loving Memory of Eric Miller

October 21,1971 - January 9, 2026

Eric passed away at his home in Dallas Texas at the age of 54.

Eric was born in Pompton Plains New Jersey on October 21,1971 and resided in Butler New Jersey with his family and a large extended family, whom Eric loved dearly. In 1978 Eric moved to Maui with his parents, Harold and Hilda Miller and his sibling, Mark, Mitchel and Carol Mae to begin a new life.

After graduation from Baldwin High School, Eric moved with his parents and sister to Bend Oregon where his life experiences were very different from growing up on Maui. At 20 years old Eric moved back to Maui where he began a career in the electrical trade, and went on to achieve his journeyman electrical license. Ultimately, Eric became the co-owner of Valley Isle Lighting Company, where he became known and respected as a lighting consultant and designer with a fine eye for detail. Eric moved to Dallas Texas in 2024 to be near his parents, whom he loved dearly.

Eric was a passionate, sensitive and generous person who loved his family, extended family and friends. Being a people person, these relationships brought meaning to his life. Eric was extremely creative and had a love for cooking great food, music, artwork and the finer things in life.

Eric was the proud father of two sons, Jonah and Joshua, who are both graduates of Kamehameha School Maui, and have gone on to higher education on the mainland.

He is survived by his sons, Jonah and Joshua, his parents Harold and Hilda Miller, brothers Mark (Barbara) and Mitchel (Deborah) and sister Carol Mae (Paul). He is preceded in death by his eldest brother Harold Jr. (Deb).

Eric will be missed in life by his family and close friends.

There will be a memorial service at 10:30 AM on May 23,2026 at Kings Chapel Dallas at 310 S. Story Road, Irving, Texas 75060. A luncheon will be provided and served after the service.
