Juan Ramos Obituary

Hilo, Hawaii - Juan Ramos, 68, of Hilo, Hawaii and Kula, Maui went home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2025. He was born on November 24, 1956, in Wailua, Oahu.

Juan was a member of Calvary Chapel in Hilo where he led praise and worship with the music ministry. As a skilled carpenter and musician, he built homes for decades with love and care. He played music from the heart- bringing joy to countless celebrations, marking life's most special moments with melodies that will be remembered forever. Juan's work was more than just a profession-it was a labor of love, building a lifetime of relationships and connections.

He was loved by many and will always be remembered for his guitar or hammer in hand, kind heart, generosity, sense of humor, laughter, infectious smile, work ethic, integrity, undying love for his family and unwavering faith in God.

Juan is survived by his wife Uluwehi; daughters, Sheron Ramos (Lee Peters), Hayley (Kaniela) Kealoha, and Chaika (Jonathan) Rebo; brothers, Julio, Adrian (Cheryl), and Alex Ramos; sisters, Julia (Darren) Shinoda and Junine Kapika; grandchildren, Carly Jo Rodrigues (Tyller), Dustin (Shy) and Cody (Kelsie) DePonte, Kaia and Kahikina Makanani (Aumoa), Naya, Lily-Ana and Jonah Kealoha; and great-grandchildren, Cyller Rodrigues, Kaulia and Lainey Rae DePonte; along with his loved nieces and nephews, church 'ohana, and band brothers.
