Wailuku, Hawaii - Louis Don Kuuipokuhilani Joaquin, 80, of Paukukalo, Maui, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1945, in Wailuku, Maui, to Frank Joaquin and Hannah P. Furukawa Cockett.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Agnes "Haunani" Cockett (Tony) Vitale; and son, Robert "Kalei" (Rochelle) Keahi.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan "Nani" Joaquin; daughter, Stacie (Richard "Kaipo") Grace; grandchildren, Shelley "Pua'ena" Keahi, Trebor (Chelsea) Keahi, Lopaka Keahi, Anakea Keahi, and Dusty Grace; great-grandchild, Kamali'i Keahi.
He is also survived by sisters, Caroline (Billy) Jones and Lorraine "Maile" (Larry) Manalo; brothers, Charlie (Juanita) Joaquin and Wayne (Stephanie) Cockett; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services: Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM at Nakamura Mortuary, Wailuku, Maui
