Roberto "Berto" Cristobal Aguiran of Lahaina, Maui entered eternal life from Hale Makua Wailuku the morning of August 4, 2024 at the age of 65. He was born on November 22, 1958 at Ilocos Norte, Philippines, the second of six siblings. He is cherished by his devoted wife, Imelda, and their children, Wenzie and Jake (Jhena). Berto's heart is deeply connected to the memory of his beloved parents, Daniel Sr. and Feliciana. His siblings—Emiliano (Leonie), Daniel Jr. (Loida), Rene (Melanie), Bobby (Juvie), and Donabel (Paolo) Lat—share a special bond that brings warmth to his life. Above all, Berto's pride and joy is his grandson, Aiden Isaiah, who fills his heart with endless love and happiness.

Berto treasured time with family and friends often documenting their gatherings on live with one hand and a beer in the other. He loved home cooked meals, singing karaoke, mahjong, gardening, basketball, and attending weekend derbies. Chicken fighting was a ritual and a passion for him; so much so that he cared for the chickens as extended family. Berto was a man of few words, though impactful. His easy-going perspective has allowed him to live a fulfilling life epitomizing simplicity. Kunana, naragsak ti biag. Haan kayo agapapa.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 22 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Faith in Jesus Church, located at 432 Waiehu Beach Rd., Wailuku, HI 96793; Private Family Viewing at 5:00PM with Public Viewing at 5:30PM and service to commence at 6:30PM, and continue on Friday, August 23 at Faith in Jesus Church from 8:00AM-11:00AM; service to begin at 9:00AM. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Cemetery at 12:30PM.
