Kula, Hawaii - Ronald Kaoru Nakata was born in Puunene, Maui on December 27, 1941. He passed away peacefully under the caring support of Hospice Maui on August 12, 2025. He is survived by his brother Kenneth (Jen) and many nephews, grandnephews, nieces and grandnieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Genyei & Kama Nakata, along with siblings Tamo, Masaru, Hitoshi, Edna, Natalie, Patsy, & Jeanette. Kula Hospital was his home for the last few years. We are grateful for the staff & wonderful care he received there. A big Mahalo to his Moloka'i 'Ohana with whom he shared so many happy memories. Visitation will be held at Nakamura Mortuary on Monday, September 08, 2025 @ 9am with service to begin @ 10am. Burial to follow at Maui Memorial Park @ 2pm. In lieu of monetary offering or flowers, donations can be made to Kula Hospital.
