Although humble and seemingly quiet in stature, Shannon embodied a bold spirit who challenged himself to go beyond his limits. He was a leader who went against the grain in many ways to be his own person and was the epitome of the term "My brother's keeper." Shannon garnered friendships that spread throughout Maui and beyond Hawaii, and his kindness touched those he encountered. He was a proud uncle who cherished spending time with his niece, Psalm. Shannon's love and dedication to family, friends, and the Maui community was at the core of his being. He was a firm believer in native Hawaiian rights and in protecting Maui's land and beaches.
