He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to William M. & Charlotte Smith (deceased). He is survived by his daughter Sarah MacMonagle (Ward), Granddaughter Morgan, and Grandson Jonathan. He is also survived by his beloved life partner Kalehua Broad, Hanai daughter Ruby, and ohana dog Honey. Celebration of life will be held on November 15, 2025, at Ho'olehua Congregation Church on Molokai. Visitation from 9am-10:30am; services 10:30-11:30am; and scattering at a later date.
