Yaemi passed away peacefully, with no regrets, two months short of her 100th birthday. Predeceased by her husband, Masayoshi Nelson "Doc" Yogi, her survivors include daughter Kathy Collins; grandson Jim (Staci McLain) Beckmeyer; great-granddaughters Lillian Yaemi (Bryce) Kozmerick, Lotus Beckmer, and Lula Beckmeyer; niece Betty Watanabe, and numerous more nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Mahalo to the many friends and relatives who filled Yaemi's life with joy. Special thanks to the Maui Memorial Medical Center staff, especially the wonderful care team at Maui East.
Celebration of life will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary on Wednesday, July 16. Visitation at 4:30, Program at 6:30, followed by dinner.
